  • Rice aata – ¼ cup
  • Oil

  • Water – for kneading flour
  • Laal Mirchi powder – ½ teaspoon 
  • Hing (asafetida) – ½ teaspoon
  • Jeera (cumin) – ½ teaspoon

Instructions

  • Whole Wheat Atta, Rice Atta, Hing, Jeera, Laal mirchi powder & Salt – mix them all in an appropriate utensil
  • Add butter and mix until the mixture seems like crumbs 
  • Gradually add water which would be a similar process like kneading (गुंदना) any other normal aata. 
  • Make small pieces of the dough and put them in a chakli maker one by one
  • Heat oil in a pan (or कढ़ाईं)
  • Using a chakli machine, make spiral shapes directly into the Kadhai. The nozzle of the chakli machine will already have given the chakli a spiky appearance.
  • Fry for 5-7 minutes and remove extra oil by dabbing them with tissue papers then let it cool down
  • Store in an airtight container and munch whenever you like.
